RESUMO

Objective: To explore the effectiveness and safety of programmed death 1(PD-1) inhibitory combined with chemotherapy as a neoadjuvant therapy for locally advanced resectable oral squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: This study was a randomized controlled phase Ⅱ trial. Patients recruited from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital from July 2021 to February 2023 were randomly divided into two groups in a 1∶1 ratio: the experimental group (Toripalimab combined with albumin paclitaxel and cisplatin) and the control group (albumin paclitaxel and cisplatin); patients in both groups underwent three cycles of neoadjuvant therapy. After completion of neoadjuvant therapy, patients were evaluated and subsequent surgical treatment was performed. According to the completion of treatment, the analysis was conducted on both the full analysis set and the protocol set. The effectiveness and safety of treatments were evaluated. SPSS 20.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results: A total of 41 cases with oral cancer were enrolled, including 26 males and 15 females, aged between 34 and 74 years old. There were 23 cases in the experimental group and 18 cases in the control group. A total of 23 cases completed neoadjuvant therapy and surgery according to the protocol. Experimental group and control group showed respectively the complete response rates of 1/19 and 0/17, the partial response rates of 13/19 and 8/17, the stage-down rates of 4/19 and 3/17, the pathologic complete response rate of 8/14 and 2/9, with no statistically significant differences in individual rates between two groups (P>0.05). The major pathological response rate of 13/14 in experimental group was higher than that of 2/9 in control group (P<0.05). The incidence of grade 3-4 adverse reactions related to treatment was low in both groups (4/23 vs. 3/18, χ2=0.13, P=0.72), and the most common serious adverse reactions in the experimental group were granulocyte deficiency and electrolyte disorder. There were no adverse reactions that affected subsequent surgical treatment or caused death, and the safety and tolerability were good. The median follow-up time was 15 months, and the one-year disease-free survival rate of the experimental group was higher than that of control group (92.86% vs. 77.78%, χ2=0.62, P=0.42), with a relative decrease of 87% in the risk of disease progression or death (P=0.029). For patients with programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1) protein expression combined positive score≥20, the experimental group showed higher major pathological response rate than control group (5/5 vs. 0/4, P=0.03). Conclusion: The neoadjuvant therapy of immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy can improve the pathological remission of oral squamous cell carcinoma and the long-term survival benefits and the prognosis of patients.

Asymmetric responses of aboveground net primary productivity (ANPP) to precipitation were identified as a signal to predict ecosystem state shifts at temperate grassland zones in Inner Mongolia, China. However, mechanism studies were still lacking. This study hypothesized that the enhanced growth and newly emerged herbaceous after increased precipitation resulted in the highest asymmetry at the transition zone between desert and typical steppe. We monitored the responses of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) of different species to precipitation events using un-manned aerial vehicle technology to test this hypothesis. NDVI and species richness were measured twice at fixed points in July and August with a time interval of 15 days. Results showed that: (1) From July to August, NDVI in the transition zone increased significantly after precipitation (P < 0.05), but NDVI in both the desert and typical steppe showed a non-significant change (P > 0.05). (2) In the transition zone, NDVI increases from the shrub and herbaceous contributed to 37 and 63% increases of the site NDVI, respectively. (3) There was a significant difference in species richness between July and August in the transition zone (P < 0.05), mainly caused by the herbaceous (Chenopodiaceae, Composite, Convolvulaceae, Gramineae, Leguminosae, and Liliaceae), which either emerged from soil or tillers growth from surviving plants. This study demonstrated that herbaceous dominant the changes of NDVI in the transition zone, which provides a scientific basis for the mechanism studies of ANPP asymmetric response to precipitation and warrants long-term measurements.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to explore the expression and biological functions of long non-coding ribonucleic acid (lncRNA) ribonuclease P RNA component H1 (RPPH1) in gastric cancer (GC), and to analyze the correlations of lncRNA expression with the clinical features and prognosis of GC patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The relative expression of RPPH1 in tissue specimens from 60 GC patients was measured via quantitative Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR), and the correlations of RPPH1 expression with tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage, lymph node metastasis, etc. in GC patients were analyzed. Then, qRT-PCR was performed to detect the relative expression level of RPPH1 in GC cells. Moreover, colony formation assay, 5-Ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU) staining, wound-healing assay, and transwell assay were employed to investigate the influence of RPPH1 on GC cell functions. After interfering in the expression of RPPH1, the changes in p21 (CDKN1A, cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 1A) expression were determined through qRT-PCR and Western blotting. RESULTS: It was shown in qRT-PCR assay results that the expression of RPPH1 was upregulated in 60 cases of GC tissues. Statistical analysis revealed that RPPH1 expression was positively correlated with the TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and infiltration depth in GC patients. Besides, highly expressed lncRNA RPPH1 suggested poor prognosis of GC patients. Based on the results of qRT-PCR assay, the expression of RPPH1 in GC cells was upregulated. After interfering in RPPH1 expression, both colony formation assay and EdU staining indicated that the proliferative capacity of GC cells was repressed. Furthermore, it was manifested in the results of wound-healing and transwell assays that the migratory and invasive abilities of GC cells were weakened. Finally, the qRT-PCR and Western blotting assay results demonstrated that p21 expression was upregulated after interfering in the expression of RPPH1 in GC cells. CONCLUSIONS: The expression of lncRNA RPPH1 is upregulated in GC, suggesting that the prognosis of the patients is poor. Highly expressed RPPH1 promotes the proliferation and metastasis of GC cells by regulating p21 expression.

Objective: To analyze the clinical effect of ultrasound-guided erector spinae block combined with pregabalin on post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) in the elderly. Methods: Sixty patients with post-herpetic neuralgia from January 2018 to January 2019 in the Department of Pain, First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College were selected. The patients were divided into two groups according to the random number table (n=30): group C and ultrasound-guided erector spinae block (ESPB) group. Group C was treated with the oral drug pregabalin. ESPB group was treated with ultrasound-guided erector spinae block combined with oral drug pregabalin. The digital rating scale (NRS) score, sleep quality score (QS), total pregabalin dosage, and correlation during treatment were recorded before and after treatment at 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 weeks after treatment. Results: Four weeks after treatment, the scores of NRS and QS in ESPB group were 2.00(2.00-3.00) and 1.00(1.00-2.00) respectively, which were significantly lower than those in group C 3.00(3.00-4.00) and 2.00(2.00-3.00). The differences were statistically significant (Z=-2.318,-2.533, all P<0.05). The dosage of pregabalin in ESBP group was 1.73(1.65-1.99)g, less than that in group C 7.28(7.28-7.28)g, and the difference was statistically significant (Z=-4.916, P<0.05). The NRS score and QS score of ESPB group at the 8th week of follow-up were 2.50(2.00-4.00) and 1.00(0.00-2.00), respectively, which were significantly lower than those of group C 4.00(3.00-4.00) and 1.00(1.00-2.00). The difference was statistically significant (Z=-2.426,-2.691, all P<0.05). The significant effective rate of ESPB group was 70.0%, which was significantly better than that of group C (36.7%). The difference was statistically significant (χ(2)=6.694, P<0.05). Adverse reactions were mild in both groups. Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided erector spinae block can effectively alleviate the pain of elderly patients with PHN in the chest, significantly reduce the dosage of oral drugs, improve the sleep quality of patients, and have higher safety.

Opiate addiction has a high rate of relapse. The accumulating evidence shows that electroacupuncture (EA) may be effective for the treatment of opiate relapse. However, the change of expression of CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs involve in 2Hz EA anti-relapse pathway is still unclear. To explore the changes of expression of CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs, heroin self-administration (SA) model rats were adopted and treated using 2Hz EA. The expressions of CB1-Rs and CB2-Rs were observed using immunohistochemistry method. The results showed that, compared with the control group, active pokes in the heroin-addicted group increased, while the active pokes decreased significantly in 2Hz EA group compared with heroin-addicted group. Correspondingly, the expression of CB1-Rs in prefrontal cortex (PFC), hippocampus (Hip), nucleus accumbens (NAc) and ventral tegmental area (VTA) all increased significantly while the expression of CB2-Rs in those relapse-relevant brain regions decreased obviously in heroin-addicted group when compared with the control group. In addition, the expression of CB1-Rs obviously decreased in the 2Hz EA group while the expression of CB2-Rs in those relapse-relevant brain regions increased significantly when compared with the heroin-addicted group. It indicated that 2Hz EA could attenuate the heroin-evoked seeking behaviors effectively. The anti-relapse effects of 2Hz EA might be related to the decrease of CB1-Rs and increase of CB2-Rs expression in relapse-relevant brain regions of heroin SA rats.

Objective: To investigate the effect and mechanism of hyperbaric oxygen combined with radioactive seed implantation in the treatment of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: Subcutaneous tumor model of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma using TE-8 cells was established. Tumor bearing Balb/c(nu/nu) mice (60 mice) were divided into four groups, Cont group that treated with normal oxygen level, HBO group that treated with hyperbaric oxygen, RSI group that treated with radioactive seed implantation, and HBO+ RSI group that treated with hyperbaric oxygen combined with radioactive seed implantation. Tumor volume ratio and mean survival time of tumor bearing mice were observed. Pathological changes of tumor tissue after treatment were observed by hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay kit was used to detect oxidative stress. Apoptosis related proteins were detected by Western blot. Results: After treatment, the tumor volume ratio of HBO+ RSI group was 3.51±0.80 and was significantly lower than that of Cont group, HBO group, and RSI group (P<0.05). The mean survival time of HBO+ RSI group tumor bearing mice was 62 d and was significantly longer than that in Cont group, HBO group, and RSI group (P<0.05). HE staining showed that the pathological changes of tumor tissues were most obvious in HBO+ RSI group. After treatment, the MDA and Bax levels in nude mice of HBO+ RSI group were significantly higher than those in Cont group, HBO group and RSI group, but the levels of GSH, SOD and Bcl-2 were significantly lower than those of Cont group, HBO group and RSI group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hyperbaric oxygen combined with radioactive seed implantation could slow tumor growth and increase survival time of tumor bearing mice. The possible mechanism is that hyperbaric oxygen combined with radioactive seed implantation can improve the oxidative stress response and the expression of apoptosis protein in tumor bearing nude mice.

Stroke rehabilitation is labor-intensive and time-consuming. To assist patients and therapists alike, we propose a wearable system that measures orientation and corrects arm posture using vibrotactile actuators. The system evaluates user posture with respect to a reference and gives feedback in the form of vibration patterns. Users correct their arm posture, one DOF at a time, by following a protocol starting from the shoulder up to the forearm. Five users evaluated the proposed system by replicating ten different postures. Experimental results demonstrated system robustness and showed that some postures were easier to mimic depending on their naturalness.

Adolescent girls in Nepal face enormous social barriers to accessing education and health services due to exclusionary socio-religious traditions and years of conflict. The programme and study reported here address two issues that a national assembly of in-school and out-of-school adolescent girls, who had completed a basic life skills class, and, in the case of unschooled girls, an intensive literacy course, identified as important to their well-being - menstrual restrictions and HIV awareness and prevention. Local non-governmental organizations developed a peer education programme in three districts of Nepal that paired girls from different castes and different educational levels. The programme sought to increase peer educators' (PE) leadership and collective efficacy for informing peers and adults in their communities about the effects that these issues have on women and girls. In total, 504 girls were selected and trained as PEs. They conducted targeted discussion sessions with other girls and organised mass awareness events, reaching 20,000 people. Examination of the effects of participating in the programme on key outcome measures showed that leadership self-efficacy, which was a central theoretical construct for the programme, provided a strong predictor of both increased HIV knowledge and of practicing fewer menstrual restrictions at endline. The project demonstrated that girls from different caste and educational backgrounds are able to work together to change individual behaviour and to address socio-cultural norms that affect their lives and well-being within their communities.

OBJECTIVE: Synovial sarcoma (SS) is a malignant mesenchymal tumor that accounts for 5-10% of all soft tissue sarcoma. IL-1beta, a pleiotrophic cytokine, has been found in the tumor microenvironment which plays crucial roles in the pathogenesis of tumors. METHODS: In this study, we used Hs701.T as a cellular model to study the short-term (4-h) and long-term (48-h) stimulatory effect of IL-1beta on cell proliferation and differential gene expression. RESULTS: The results showed that IL-1beta can stimulate cell proliferation through activation of NF-kappaB and AP-1 transcription factors; sequentially triggers the expression of genes related to tumor progression. The microarray data indicated that most of the up-regulated genes were related to tumor progression. Five candidate genes which are involved in the mediation of proliferation (IL-6), apoptosis (Hsp27 and Daxx), and angiogenesis (PlGF and SPARC) were further validated by RT-PCR. CONCLUSION: These findings may be useful for understanding the pathogenesis of synovial sarcoma.

The effect of eCG on follicular development and granulosa-cell apoptosis in sexually mature and immature gilts and on granulosa-cell apoptosis in vitro were studied. The sexually mature gilts were treated with eCG on Day 11 of the estrous cycle, and effects were analyzed at different times after treatment with untreated animals at corresponding stages of the cycle as controls. Apoptosis was determined by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL), hematoxylin and eosin staining, and DNA ladder. The proportion of apoptotic cells in atretic follicles (39%) was significantly higher (P<0.01) than that in healthy follicles (9%). At 24h after eCG treatment in mature gilts, the total number of follicles visible on the ovarian surface (57 per ovary), the number of small (<3mm) follicles (31.5 per ovary) and the number of medium-sized (3-5mm) follicles (23 per ovary) were significantly higher (P<0.05) than those of control animals (28, 20 and 6.5 per ovary, respectively), and declined gradually thereafter to below the level of control animals. The number of large (>or=5mm) follicles began to show a marked increase at 72h after eCG (8.5 versus 2.5, P<0.05). At 24h after eCG treatment, the proportions of apoptotic cells in small (7.2%) and medium-sized follicles (7.4%) were markedly lower (P<0.01) than those in controls (21.5 and 21%, respectively) and increased gradually thereafter to approach the level in controls. The percentage of apoptotic cells in large follicles (10% at 24h post-eCG) did not change significantly. Before eCG treatment, there were markedly fewer follicles of all types on ovaries of immature gilts than of mature gilts (9 versus 25 per ovary) and the proportion of apoptotic cells in small and medium follicles was high (25 and 34%, respectively). After eCG treatment, the changes in follicle number and proportion of apoptotic cells in the immature gilts followed a similar pattern to that of the mature gilts. Equine chorion gonadotropin inhibited apoptosis of granulosa cells cultured either in vitro or in intact follicles in a dose-dependent manner. Thus, follicular atresia in the pig, as in other animals, was characterized by apoptosis of large numbers of granulosa cells, and eCG promoted follicular development by inhibition of granulosa-cell apoptosis.

Parthenogenetic activation is a major hurdle to be cleared for the examination of the human sperm chromosome after intracytoplasmic injection (ICSI) into golden hamster oocytes. Various factors that affect spontaneous activation of hamster oocytes were, therefore, investigated in this study. We collected cumulus-oocyte complexes (COC) from the oviducts of superovulated females and washed them thoroughly with Ca2+-containing or Ca2+-free TALP-HEPES medium (handling media). We cultured oocytes with intact cumulus or those without cumulus (removed by previous hyaluronidase treatment) in Ca2+-containing or -free m-TALP-3 for 6 or 12 h before examining for their activation. Among the oocytes recovered 17 h post-hCG, 92-94% were parthenogenetically activated by 6 h of in vitro culture. Activation rate in the oocytes collected at 13.5 h post-hCG (53%) was significantly (P < 0.05) lower than that in the oocytes collected 17 h post-hCG (92%), indicating that the spontaneous activation rate increased as the oocytes became older. Both cumulus-intact and cumulus-free oocytes had similar (P > 0.05) activation rates when cultured in vitro, suggesting that hyaluronidase treatment had no effect on the rate of oocyte activation. Omission of Ca2+ from the handling medium also had no effect on the activation of the oocytes. The rate of spontaneous activation of the oocytes cultured in calcium-free medium for 6 (9%) and 12 h (16%) was significantly (P < 0.01) lower than that (94%) of the control oocytes cultured in Ca2+-containing medium, implying a positive influence of Ca2+ on in vitro activation of hamster oocytes. When we cultured the oocytes first in calcium-free medium for 6 h, and then in calcium-containing medium for 6 h, 94% were activated, which is comparable to the rate for oocytes continuously cultured in Ca2+-containing medium. This indicates that the inhibition of hamster oocyte activation in Ca2+-free medium is reversible and can be used to control spontaneous activation of golden hamster oocytes.

The antiepileptic hypersensitivity syndrome is a severe, multiorgan reaction to oral antiepileptics that manifests as fever, rash, lymphadenopathy, and hepatitis. This same reaction pattern also has been described following administration of a few unrelated medications. We report on 11 patients who had drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome and were admitted to our pediatric service and review 94 cases of this syndrome in pediatric patients identified from the literature. We undertook this study to summarize the findings and alert clinicians to the severe internal organ involvement that can occur with this syndrome.

A two-dimensional (2D) chemical shift correlated MR spectroscopic (COSY) sequence integrated into a new volume localization technique (90 degrees -180 degrees -90 degrees ) is proposed for whole-body MR spectroscopy (MRS). Using the product operator formalism, a theoretical calculation of the volume localization as well as the coherence transfer efficiencies in 2D MRS is presented. Phantom model solutions were used to test and optimize the efficiency of the proposed sequence. A combination of different MRI transmit/receive RF coils was used: a head MRI coil and a 3" surface coil receive combined with a body coil transmit. The J cross-peaks due to N-acetyl aspartate (NAA), glutamate/glutamine (Glx), myo-inositol (mI), creatine (Cr), choline (Ch), aspartate (Asp), gamma-aminobutyrate (GABA), taurine (Tau), glutathione (GSH), threonine (Thr), and macromolecules (MM) were identified. The cross-peak intensities excited by the proposed 2D sequence were asymmetric with respect to the diagonal peaks. Localized COSY (L-COSY) spectra of cerebral prefrontal and occipital gray/white matter regions in 15 healthy controls are presented. Magn Reson Med 46:58-67, 2001.

RESUMO

A localized 2D correlation spectroscopic sequence (L-COSY) was implemented and applied in human breast cancer in vivo to evaluate the water to fat (both saturated and unsaturated) ratios and also to identify choline. Being in agreement with the conventional 1D magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) results, elevated water to lipids ratios were found in breast cancers and choline was observed only in a few cancer patients.

Cholesterol oxidase is a monomeric flavoenzyme that catalyzes the oxidation and isomerization of cholesterol to cholest-4-en-3-one. Two forms of the enzyme are known, one containing the cofactor non-covalently bound to the protein and one in which the cofactor is covalently linked to a histidine residue. The x-ray structure of the enzyme from Brevibacterium sterolicum containing covalently bound FAD has been determined and refined to 1.7-A resolution. The active site consists of a cavity sealed off from the exterior of the protein. A model for the steroid substrate, cholesterol, can be positioned in the pocket revealing the structural factors that result in different substrate binding affinities between the two known forms of the enzyme. The structure suggests that Glu(475), located at the active site cavity, may act as the base for both the oxidation and the isomerization steps of the catalytic reaction. A water-filled channel extending toward the flavin moiety, inside the substrate-binding cavity, may act as the entry point for molecular oxygen for the oxidative half-reaction. An arginine and a glutamate residue at the active site, found in two conformations are proposed to control oxygen access to the cavity from the channel. These concerted side chain movements provide an explanation for the biphasic mode of reaction with dioxygen and the ping-pong kinetic mechanism exhibited by the enzyme.

SUMMARY: Measurement of the anteroposterior diameter of the cervical spinal canal may prove unreliable because of the rotatory effect of degenerative disease. Nevertheless, this measuring error may be corrected by performing dual midpoint measurements between the posterior vertebral body and spinolaminar line when less than 10 degrees of rotation is present.

Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) was used to assess neurochemical brain changes across the menstrual cycle in five women with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and six control subjects. Women with PMDD and control subjects were scanned on days 8 and 26 within one menstrual cycle (i.e. at times of complete absence and height of PMDD symptoms, respectively). The point resolved spectroscopic sequence (PRESS) was used to localize a voxel of 8 ml in the medial frontal gray matter and in the occipito-parietal white matter. The ratio of N-acetyl-aspartate to creatine in the region of the medial prefrontal cortex and the cingulate gyrus declined significantly from the follicular to the luteal phase in both groups of subjects. The menstrual phase-dependent significant increase in the ratio of choline to creatine was observed in the parietal white matter. The myo-inositol/creatine ratio exhibited a trend toward higher levels in the PMDD patients in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. Differences between PMDD and control subjects were not statistically significant. Menstrual cycle phase-dependent changes in ovarian hormonal concentrations may influence the neurochemistry of brain activity in premenopausal women.

This project was designed to compare differences in brain proton spectra between children and adolescents with bipolar disorder (BPD) and gender and age-matched normal controls, and to measure changes in myo-inositol levels following lithium therapy, utilizing in vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS). A single voxel (2x2x2 cm3) was placed in brain anterior cingulate cortex for acquisition of the 1H spectra at baseline and after acute (7 days) lithium administration in 11 children (mean age 11.4 years) diagnosed with BPD, and in 11 normal controls. Acute lithium treatment was associated with a significant reduction in the myo-inositol/creatine ratio. This decrement was also significant in lithium-responders when analyzed separate from non-responders. Compared to normal controls, BPD subjects showed a trend towards a higher myo-inositol/creatine during the manic phase. These preliminary data provide evidence that a significant reduction in anterior cingulate myo-inositol magnetic resonance may occur after lithium treatment, especially among responders. Follow-up studies involving a larger sample may allow us to confirm whether changes in myo-inositol associated with acute lithium therapy persist in long-term clinical response of patients with and without lithium compliance.

A challenge in computational protein folding is to assemble secondary structure elements-helices and strands-into well-packed tertiary structures. Particularly difficult is the formation of beta-sheets from strands, because they involve large conformational searches at the same time as precise packing and hydrogen bonding. Here we describe a method, called Geocore-2, that (1) grows chains one monomer or secondary structure at a time, then (2) disconnects the loops and performs a fast rigid-body docking step to achieve canonical packings, then (3) in the case of intrasheet strand packing, adjusts the side-chain rotamers; and finally (4) reattaches loops. Computational efficiency is enhanced by using a branch-and-bound search in which pruning rules aim to achieve a hydrophobic core and satisfactory hydrogen bonding patterns. We show that the pruning rules reduce computational time by 10(3)- to 10(5)-fold, and that this strategy is computationally practical at least for molecules up to about 100 amino acids long.

Nuclear transplantation in the pig is more difficult than in other domestic animals and only one embryonic nuclear transplantation (NT) pig has been born to date. In this study, reconstituted porcine embryos were produced by electrofusion of blastomeres from in vivo four-cell embryos to enucleated in vivo or in vitro matured (IVM) oocytes. Nuclear transfer using cumulus cells as nuclear donors was also conducted. When blastomeres were used as donors, the electrofusion rate was significantly higher in oocytes matured in vivo (91.5%) than in those matured in vitro (66.1%) (p < 0.01). After fusion, the NT embryos reconstituted from in vivo matured oocytes developed to blastocysts at a rate of 10.3% after culture in rabbit oviducts for up to 5 days, while only 5.9% of the NT embryos reconstructed from in vitro matured oocytes developed to blastocyst stage. Electrofusion rate of cumulus cell nuclei with enucleated IVM oocytes was lower (47.6%) and only 1.5% (2/136) of the reconstituted eggs developed in vitro to morula stage, and 1.9% developed to blastocysts when cultured in the ligated rabbit oviducts. Transfer of 94 embryos reconstructed by blastomere NT with in vivo matured oocytes to five synchronous recipients resulted in the birth of two cloned piglets. No piglet was born following transfer to two recipients of embryos (n = 39) derived from NT with in vitro matured oocytes. The results demonstrate that in vivo matured oocytes are better recipients than those matured in vitro for pig cloning.
